The Bianconeri's general director voices his frustration at constant accusations that referees tend to favour the Italian champions after an incident against Napoli
Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has hit back at Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis over claims that referees favour the Scudetto holders.
The reigning champions recorded a 3-1 win at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday but De Laurentiis fumed after the match that Juve's second goal - scored by Martin Caceres - should have been disallowed for offside.
Marotta, however, feels that the Napoli president should know better than to accuse the referee and should instead acknowledge that Juventus were the better team.
"Every time we beat a big team, we're accused of stealing and it's something I firmly reject because it's unacceptable," he told reporters.
"It's a pity that an educated and level-headed person like De Laurentiis has expressed such feelings about us without acknowledging our qualities. We came here to win and the team produced a positive result.
"It's easy to neglect the opposition's merits and attack refereeing decisions and instead Sunday's officials had an impeccable game."
Sunday's results saw Juventus go three points clear of second-placed Roma, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Lazio.
