The Portuguese super-agent says the Monaco loanee would play 90 minutes every game anywhere else and admits his future may lie away from Old Trafford
Radamel Falcao may be forced to leave Manchester United in search of regular football as he remains "one of the very best in the world", according to agent Jorge Mendes.
The 28-year-old has struggled for form and fitness since joining the Red Devils on loan from Monaco in the summer and was left out of the squad entirely to face Southampton in Sunday's 1-0 defeat.
Having scored just three times since September, Louis van Gaal is unlikely to spend big to sign him permanently – but Mendes is convinced he will still be at a European super club next season, whether he stays at Old Trafford or not.
"I don't know [where his future is]," Mendes is quoted in The Telegraph. "He is a fantastic player, and I think it's very difficult for Manchester United fans.
"They have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.
"The truth is, right now we don't know what will happen. What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.
"I am 100 per cent sure of that. But you know how football works, we need to wait a little. We'll see what happens."
Falcao has scored three goals and bagged three assists in his 12 Premier League appearances this season, though he has completed 90 minutes just twice.
