The PR company representing Irina Shayk has played down rumours of a split from Cristiano Ronaldo by blaming the model's Ballon d'Or no-show on "work commitments".
Ronaldo won the prestigious prize in Zurich on Monday, but this time there was no Shayk by his side as he celebrated claiming the award for the third time in his career.
Reports on Wednesday then suggested the Russian model had unfollowed the Real Madrid forward on Twitter, fuelling speculation of a split.
But Shayk has never followed Ronaldo on Twitter or on any of her social media accounts and a spokeswoman at the 29-year-old's New York-based PR company told Goal: "[The Ballon d'Or] didn't fit in with her schedule - it was because of work commitments. We have no further comment to make."

Shayk was in the Maldives on holiday in the lead-up to the ceremony in Zurich and the model has been quiet on social media since Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or win, having posted her last holiday picture on Instagram on the day of the gala itself.
The pair have been together since January 2010.
