Arsenal target William Carvalho: Premier League move is my dream

The Portugal international is a target for Arsenal, among others, and would be keen on a move to England in January but is happy to stay and wait for any developments

Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho says that a move to the Premier League is his "dream".

The Portugal international, who represented his country at the World Cup last summer, was the subject of a £20 million bid from Arsenal after the tournament which was rejected.

Multiple teams are now keen on securing his signature in January but Carvalho is happy to wait and find out if anything develops.

"My dream is to play in England," he told Record. "I know some clubs are interested but my agent, Jorge, is looking after it and I am relaxed.

"Now my mission is to work in Sporting and they will be in charge of any transfer and my future. That is very important."

The 22-year-old has helped Sporting to third in the Portuguese top flight so far this season, 10 points behind league leaders Benfica.
