The Inter left-back is desperate to make the most
of his first Brazil call-up and is targeting a dream
debut against Argentina on Saturday
Inter defender Dodo says his
call-up to the Brazil squad has
been a dream come true.
The 22-year-old was one of two
new faces initially drafted in by
coach Dunga for this week's
Gillette Superclasico de las
Americas against Argentina on Saturday and Tuesday's
friendly with Japan in Singapore.
And the former Corinthians and Roma left-back
expressed his excitement at the prospect of making his
full international debut on the Gillette Brasil Global
Tour of Asia.
"I am very happy to be called up. It's a great
opportunity in my career and my life," he told the press
in Beijing.
"Even more so because it is for an important match
against Argentina If I can take the field in that game it
will certainly be a thrill. I have been dreaming of this
moment.
"It's like there's a movie going on in my head right now.
After everything I've done in my career, I have made it
here to the Brazilian national team."
Mario Fernandes was the only other new face included
in Dunga's 22-man squad but injuries have since seen
Kaka, Juan Jesus, Marcelo Grohe, Souza and Romulo
arrive in China.
Ramires, Fernandinho, Marquinhos and Ricardo
Goulart were all forced to withdraw from the squad.
